Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie Reportedly Competing for 2024 Academy Awards Recognition

Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie are reportedly set to compete for top honors at the upcoming Academy Awards. With Angelina Jolie eyeing her second Oscar win for her new project Maria, Bullock is said to be vying for her own spot on the Academy’s wish list, potentially intensifying an already existing rivalry between the two.
According to an insider who spoke to In Touch Weekly, “Sandra definitely has a history with Angie.” The source added that some in Jolie’s camp believe the Gravity role that earned Bullock acclaim should have gone to Angelina. “There are certainly people in Angie’s camp who think Sandra’s signature role in Gravity should have gone to Angelina since that was a project Angelina was very interested in starring in herself before Sandra landed the part.”
The rivalry reportedly goes deeper due to Bullock’s recent professional relationship with Jolie’s ex-husband, Brad Pitt. “Since Angelina and Brad Pitt broke up, Sandra has formed a powerful alliance with Brad on two hit movies: The Lost City and Bullet Train,” the insider shared.
Both actresses are seasoned in their craft, and their potential Academy Award campaigns are adding to the already intense Oscar buzz. However, they aren’t the only big names generating excitement this award season. The Deadpool and Wolverine stars, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are also reportedly at the top of the Oscars wish list.
With the competition heating up, it looks like both Bullock and Jolie could find themselves in the spotlight once again as the race for the 2024 Oscars unfolds.
