Reflecting on the milestone, the On the Floor singer shared how she has been a fan of the AMAs since childhood. “It’s pretty incredible, right? Fifty years of the American Music Awards. I remember watching them at home when I was a little girl,” she recalled, clearly embracing the nostalgia.

During the interview, Lopez was shown footage from her first-ever appearance at the AMAs, which took her by surprise. Laughing, the Mother actress exclaimed, “What? It was so long ago — but the energy in the room was very electric.” Her reaction highlighted the longevity of her career and her ongoing connection to the event, told People.
