Donald Trump’s Granddaughter Kai Trump Steps Into the Spotlight with YouTube, Golf Ambitions, and Family Pride
Following her grandfather Donald Trump’s recent election victory, Kai Trump, his 17-year-old granddaughter, is making waves as she steps into the public eye with a bold foray into YouTube and competitive golf. As reported by Hello! magazine, Kai’s new YouTube channel shares insights into her life, focusing on her ambitions and journey as a golfer—a passion she shares with the President-Elect.
In one of her debut videos, Kai highlights her golfing skills, showcasing a friendly match with popular golf content creator Garrett Clark. Although she narrowly lost to Clark by two strokes, the video provides a look at her competitive spirit. Another video features a tour of her favorite golf course—Trump’s own Bedminster course in New Jersey. In a playful nod to her grandfather, Kai humorously mimics his signature hand gestures, adding a personal and lighthearted touch.
According to the Independent, The video, titled “A Day in My Life,” offers viewers a glimpse into her daily routine, which includes workout sessions, shopping trips, and preparations for a Great Gatsby-themed homecoming dance. Currently a junior at The Benjamin School, an exclusive private school in Palm Beach, Florida, Kai has been refining her golf skills from a young age. She began playing at just two years old, practicing on her grandfather’s golf courses across Florida, California, New Jersey, and even Scotland.
Recently, Kai shared an exciting milestone: her verbal commitment to play golf at the University of Miami. In an Instagram post, she expressed her excitement, writing, “I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami…I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey.” She also paid tribute to her grandfather, saying, “I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support.”
Kai concluded her post by thanking friends, teammates, and coaches, adding, “I am super excited to be a Cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes!” Beyond her online presence, Kai made a memorable appearance earlier this year at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Addressing the crowd, she shared anecdotes about her relationship with her grandfather, providing an affectionate glimpse into their bond.
“He calls me during the school day to ask how my golf game is going. But then I have to remind him that I’m in school, and I’ll have to call him back later,” she joked, earning a warm response. She also shared that Donald Trump enjoys playfully distracting her during their golf games, though she remains unfazed. “He’s always surprised that I don’t let him get to me. I have to remind him that I’m a Trump too,” she said with a smile.
On Election Day, Kai joined her family at Mar-a-Lago to celebrate her grandfather’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. Later, she posted a congratulatory message on Instagram, featuring photos with Donald Trump. She captioned the post, “No one works harder or cares more about the American people. Congratulations Grandpa, I love you!”
Kai Trump’s entrance into the public sphere as a young athlete, content creator, and supporter of her grandfather’s political journey has captured attention, showing that she is ready to make her own mark while carrying forward the family legacy. With her plans set for the University of Miami and a growing online presence, Kai’s journey is one to watch.
