Snoop Dogg’s Controversial Move Sparks Explosive Feud with Kendrick Lamar
Snoop Dogg, the legendary American rapper known for his laid-back style, recently found himself in hot water after unintentionally sharing a controversial track online. The 53-year-old artist faced backlash after the song, which used AI to mimic the voices of Snoop and 2Pac, appeared to insult rapper Drake, sparking tension between him and Kendrick Lamar.
In a recent interview with Bootleg, Snoop cleared the air and explained how the incident unfolded. “So when I posted it, I thought I’m posting Gin & Juice. I don’t know what song this is, I’m not hip to everybody’s music,” he shared, revealing that he had not realized the nature of the track when he posted it on Instagram.
Once he learned of Lamar’s disapproval, Snoop took immediate action to make amends. “I called [Kendrick], left him a message: ‘Nephew, it’s Uncle Snoop. I got the message. I apologize, I was messed up. My bad,'” he said, addressing the situation directly with Lamar.
Snoop also expressed appreciation for Kendrick’s honesty in addressing the issue. “That’s my nephew, man. He’s a rapper, he’s supposed to speak his mind and tell his truth,” he explained, emphasizing that he respected Lamar’s decision to voice his concerns.
The incident highlights the ongoing dynamic between artists in the music industry, with Snoop Dogg demonstrating his commitment to resolving the tension through direct communication and an honest apology.
