“Bigger Homes Just Take Longer” Kylie Jenner’s $15M Mega-Mansion Nears Completion
Backgrid recently unveiled a drone video of Kylie Jenner’s sprawling hillside mega-mansion, showcasing a property on the brink of completion after four years of development. The U.S. Sun reports that the $15 million estate, which has been under construction for the past four years, features 15 bedrooms, a 12-car garage, an infinity pool, and a sports court, according to Mashable.
The extensive property also includes an underground bunker, a practical addition given California’s frequent wildfires and Jenner’s history with stalkers. As the final touches are applied, Jenner is preparing to move into the home, which also boasts a green belt and a fence for added privacy. Additionally, the estate allegedly includes a wine vineyard with picturesque hillside views.
Located next to her mother Kris Jenner’s residence, the mansion places Kylie in close proximity to her sisters and soon-to-be neighbor, actor Will Smith. When construction began, realtor Tony Mariotti likened the process to developing a hotel. “They are bigger. I know that is obvious, but bigger homes just take longer. For example, that foundation, with the subterranean garage, is some serious business. Not only is it huge, but it is way more complex than a typical foundation,” he revealed.
The protracted construction period is partly due to the custom materials sourced from around the world. RubyHome Luxury Real Estate CEO commented, “If you run out of something or have difficulty with the materials, that will cause a delay. This is a project on the scale of a large restaurant or small hotel.”
In addition to her new mansion, Jenner owns another property in the Hidden Hills, purchased in 2016 for $12 million. In an interview with Architectural Digest, she described her vision for that home: “I told [designer] Martyn [Lawrence Bullard] I wanted a fresh, fun vibe to match the way I was feeling. Color was essential. I love pink, and I wanted a lot of it!”
Vogue has highlighted Jenner’s handbag closet in her other hillside residence, which features over a hundred high-end collectibles from brands like Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. The floor-to-ceiling closet, designed to resemble a high-end showroom, includes fine flooring, mirror walls, glass interiors, and chandeliers.
Jenner’s dining room in her current residence is also a testament to her unique style, featuring five shades of pink inspired by her lipstick collection. The opulent space is completed with a textured gold ceiling and a white and gold chandelier, offering a luxurious dining experience. As the finishing touches are applied to her new mansion, the anticipation builds for Jenner’s move into this spectacular estate, reflecting her taste for grand and meticulously designed living spaces.
