Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Don Trump Jr. and J.D. Vance in Latest Late-Night Segment
Jimmy Kimmel took aim at Donald Trump and his son, Don Trump Jr., during a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, with a barrage of jokes centered around Trump’s choice of running mate, J.D. Vance, for the upcoming presidential election. Kimmel kicked off the segment by commenting on Trump’s history of poor decisions when it comes to selecting running mates.
“There are a lot of things Trump isn’t good at,” Kimmel began, “and one of the things he’s especially not good at is picking running mates. He made a huge mistake with this J.D. Vance, who can’t stop stepping in it.”
Kimmel didn’t hold back, roasting Vance’s appearance and his political moves. “For a guy who wears more eyeliner than Liza Minnelli, you’d think he’d have a better understanding of women,” Kimmel quipped, adding, “J.D. Vance looks like someone asked AI to make the Two and a Half Men one person.”
According to HuffPost, Don Trump Jr. had pushed his father to select Vance for the vice-presidential ticket, which Kimmel used as an opportunity to further mock him. “Another good move, dumbass. If Trump loses this election, he’s gonna sue his son to take the ‘junior’ away,” Kimmel joked.
The comedian then shifted to contrast Trump’s pick with Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. “It’s even worse for Trump considering the home run team Harris hit with this Tim Walz. I don’t know where they were hiding him” as reported by Decider.
Kimmel continued his light-hearted jabs at Walz’s down-to-earth persona, saying, “He is beautiful. His blood type is corndog batter. He belongs to several ‘pickle of the month’ clubs. Tim Walz is the kind of guy who, if you sat next to him on a plane, he’d ask you what brings you to Tampa because he genuinely wants to know.”
The late-night host also revisited his past criticisms of Don Trump Jr. Last year, Kimmel mocked him during Trump’s fraud trial, pulling up footage of Jr. arriving at the court amid protesters calling the family a “crime family.” Kimmel branded the Trumps “a very dumb crime family. The Gambozos, if you will.”
As a final jab, Kimmel referenced Jr.’s bizarre claim that his father was “the father of hotel gyms,” humorously pointing out the irony. “He’s saying that his father, the father of the hotel gym, is a guy who has never stepped inside one,” Kimmel said, wrapping up the segment with his trademark humor.
