Cardi B and Offset Stay Amicable Despite Firm Divorce Decision
Cardi B and Offset may be on good terms, but their decision to divorce remains final. According to sources from TMZ, while the pair have agreed to remain amicable, they are not planning to reconcile. The estranged couple recently reunited to celebrate their son Wave’s third birthday at DreamWorks Water Park in New Jersey’s American Dream Mall.
Cardi B and Offset, who share two children, Wave (3) and Kulture (6), are also expecting a third child together. Despite their split, they have committed to co-parenting their children amicably. A source told People that the divorce filing was not a sudden decision. “It’s something they had been discussing and talking about for a while,” a friend of Cardi B shared.
Rumors had swirled that the divorce was due to Offset being “more of a distraction than support,” a claim spread by the celebrity blog The Jasmine Brand. Cardi B quickly shut down those rumors on Instagram, stating, “OK this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids.”
A representative for the couple told People that the split is not due to infidelity but has been a long time coming. “It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, she woke up one day, some incident happened, and this was it.'”
Cardi B, 31, initially filed for divorce in 2020 but withdrew the filing two months later. Her most recent divorce filing came just before announcing her pregnancy last month, solidifying that the decision to part ways had been well thought out. Despite their separation, Cardi B and Offset remain focused on providing a supportive and stable environment for their children.
