Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appear to be heading for divorce as they publicly listed their marital mansion earlier this week, fueling rumors of marital discord.
The Mirror reported that the couple is in a hurry to sell their mansion, sparking divorce speculations amidst their ongoing marital issues. Recent reports indicate that the sale of their “masterpiece mansion” is directly linked to their reported marital conflicts.
The couple, who tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2022, first ignited rumors of relationship troubles in May 2024 when JLo prepared for her fifth concert tour, “This Is Me.” The “Maid in Manhattan” actress said, “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
A source disclosed that Ben “never felt comfortable in their family house,” leading the estranged couple to list the property. An insider told US Weekly, “They decided to list the house very recently, within the last week. They thought they could sell it off-market but made a game-time decision in order to put more eyes on the property.”
The source added, “Ben especially wants to be done with the house. He was never happy there.”
Despite these developments, the couple reportedly “still live separately,” and “nothing has been decided yet as far as the divorce,” according to the outlet. The public listing of their home, coupled with ongoing reports of their relationship troubles, has only intensified speculation about the future of their marriage.
