Britney Spears has parted ways with her powerhouse attorney, Mathew Rosengart, who played a pivotal role in ending her 13-year conservatorship in 2021. According to reports, Rosengart has decided to move on from representing the pop star, citing the absence of active litigation concerning her conservatorship and the need to focus on other clients and cases demanding his undivided attention.
In an interview with People Magazine, Rosengart expressed his admiration for Spears, calling her an “icon” and sharing that he was “honored” to have worked with her. His remarks come after a significant victory in 2021 when he helped secure Spears’ freedom from the restrictive legal arrangement that had governed her life and career for over a decade.
He said, “I was honored to work with and protect Britney, who is and will always be an icon, and most specifically, to have helped restore the fundamental rights and civil liberties that were stripped from her, which was always our focus.”
“What’s next for Britney is up to one person — and this is the first time we can say this in a decade. It’s up to Britney,” he said at the time. “Britney, as of today, is a free woman.” She penned, “This man has turned my life around … So many exciting projects ahead !!!!” adding, “We accidentally matched for lunch !!!! Thank you for being so kind and respectful to me always!!!!!!”
