Britney Spears reveals secret abortion after Justin Timberlake got her pregnant: “Didn’t Want to Be a Father,” Memoir Reveals
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, the iconic couple of the late 1990s and early 2000s, have found themselves in the spotlight once again, two decades later.
In her forthcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me,” set to release on October 24, Spears has unveiled a revelation that is already making waves. In a newly disclosed passage from the book, Spears reveals that she became pregnant with Timberlake’s child during their relationship. She writes that, at Timberlake’s insistence, she underwent an abortion, as reported by People.
Spears reflects on the pregnancy, describing it as unexpected but not tragic from her perspective. She cherished her relationship with Timberlake and had always envisioned building a family together, albeit perhaps at a later stage. She writes, “I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.”
However, Timberlake had a different view, expressing that they were not prepared for parenthood at that stage of their lives. Spears conveys, “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
Spears admits that left to her own devices, she would not have chosen to have an abortion, but Timberlake’s certainty about not wanting to become a father prevailed. She reflects on the experience as one of the most agonizing moments in her life.
Subsequently, Spears went on to have two children with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline—18-year-old Sean Preston and 17-year-old Jayden James. Currently, her sons reside in Hawaii with Federline. Spears and Timberlake’s relationship began when Spears was 17 years old, with Timberlake being 18.
