Courteney Cox Finally Reveals If a ‘Friends’ Reunion or Reboot Is in the Works
Courteney Cox is reminiscing about her iconic role on Friends as the beloved show celebrates its 30th anniversary. Cox, who gained widespread fame for portraying Monica Geller, spoke to PEOPLE about the possibility of a sequel or reboot of the hit series.
Addressing whether a Friends reunion could ever happen, Cox expressed doubts, saying, “It’s hard to try to redo anything. Anything with ‘re’ in front of it with this group… I think it’s so special.” She highlighted the unique chemistry of the original cast and the challenge of recapturing the magic that made the show such a lasting success.
Beyond her reflection on Friends, Cox also discussed her involvement with the Rock4EB fundraiser, a charity she actively supports that raises awareness and funds for combating skin diseases.
“This event is so important because we need to raise awareness,” Cox explained. “We need to continue to raise funds. This is such a behind-the-scenes charity no one understands. It’s just not out there enough.” The actress emphasized the need for more visibility for the cause and noted how she helps by organizing the event and securing top musical guests.
“We put together this event and get great musical guests, which kind of seems like that’s my job. I’ve been pretty good. Yep, I’ve gotten some good ones.” As Cox reflects on her iconic role and her charitable endeavors, it’s clear that both Friends and her passion for making a difference continue to shape her life.
