Demi Moore Opens Up About Her Honest Take on Aging and Embracing It
Demi Moore is opening up about her evolving relationship with aging, reflecting on how her perspective has shifted over the years. The 62-year-old actress, who was nominated for outstanding lead performance for her role in The Substance, attended the 2024 Gotham Awards on Monday and took time to address the topic of growing older.
When asked how her view of aging has changed throughout her life, Moore admitted that she spent too much time judging herself in the past. “Over the course of my whole life, I’ve spent too much time passing judgment against myself,” she shared. “I can look back and go at 20, at 30 I was finding things that weren’t good enough.”
However, Moore explained that as she’s gotten older, her attitude towards aging has transformed. “My relationship with [aging] now is much more in a joyous acceptance. Of course, there are things that you go, ‘Oh I wish that was not that way,’ but in terms of the whole, I see myself and the fullness of who I am as opposed to just the external idea of who I am.”
At the event, Moore looked stunning in an eggplant-colored Dior gown, featuring a floor-length pleated design with a one-shoulder strap that draped elegantly off one side. The actress complemented her ensemble with Bulgari diamonds, including a striking diamond necklace and a ring that beautifully accentuated her outfit.
Moore’s signature beauty look was on full display, with amped-up lashes, a natural lip, rosy cheeks, and her long hair styled in soft curls, further showcasing her timeless elegance.
As Moore continues to embrace the aging process with confidence and joy, she serves as a reminder to accept oneself fully and appreciate the journey of life.
