Katie Holmes captivated onlookers as she made her grand entrance at the opening night of the much-anticipated Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, held at the Barrymore Theatre. Holmes stars in the iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which returns to Broadway for the first time in over two decades.

The production, as reported by Daily Mail, features a star-studded cast including Big Bang Theory alum Jim Parsons and Not Okay actress Zoey Deutch. Holmes, known for her work in Dawson’s Creek, took center stage both on and off the red carpet.

For the opening night, Holmes stunned in a sophisticated black satin gown that elegantly draped to the floor. The dress, complete with a chic belted waist and a daring slit up the left side, exuded classic glamour. Holmes completed the look with her brunette hair slicked back, showcasing her silver earrings and adding a touch of refinement. She accessorized with a small clutch purse, perfectly complementing her ensemble.

Holmes wasn’t alone for the evening; she was accompanied by her co-star Michelle Wilson, who also embraced the classic black theme in a stylish frock, according to the outlet.

Speaking about her role as Mrs. Webb, Holmes opened up to Broadway about her excitement for the production. She revealed that being part of the show’s revival has been a dynamic experience, describing how the play “changes every night” due to the subtle nuances and interactions among the close-knit cast of 28 actors.

“There’s a real sense of team,” Holmes shared. “It’s different than film—even though you can have a really supportive cast on film. In theater, you’re right there with each other.” Her words highlighted the camaraderie and collective energy that comes with performing live on stage.

As Holmes and her fellow cast members bring this timeless classic back to Broadway, they showcase not just the enduring appeal of Wilder’s work but also the magic of live theater—a space where every performance offers a new and evolving experience.
