Meghan’s hypocrisy is now beyond parody: REPORTS

I, for one, have never questioned the Duchess of Sussex‘s decision not to attend the Coronation. She and her spouse, after all, had two children. And every parent understands how difficult it may be to find a reliable babysitter.

This is why my wife and I always consult with my father-in-law. Unfortunately for the Duchess, her father-in-law is the King, and he appears to be unavailable on this particular occasion.

Otherwise, I’m sure she would have liked to come. She’ll almost certainly be watching the event live on TV with the rest of us, wishing she could have been there. However, by a horrible twist of destiny, it occurs to fall on the same day as Prince Archie’s fourth birthday, and the children must come first.

Still, I’m hoping she’ll see the good side. Her children will most likely be adults by the time of the next Coronation. That means she’ll be free to attend William and Kate’s big day.

For the time being, though, she must be very frustrated that some people are daring to question her absence. That’s why she’s been quick to refute rumors that it has anything to do with a letter she sent to her father-in-law in 2021, in which she expressed her worries about unconscious bias in the Royal family.

The letter is said to have been sent shortly after her interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which the Duchess claimed that an unknown member of the Royal family had asked about the color of her unborn son’s skin.

Her press secretary sent the following comment shortly after news of the letter was released.

“The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago,” it declared, coldly.

“Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.”

That is also right. Because if there’s one thing the Duchess despises, it’s people who spend their whole lives constantly dwelling on the past.

Nothing irritates her more than people who, only for financial benefit, continue to harp on about what may or may not have happened in the Royal family some years ago. Why are these folks beating a dead horse in such a sensationalist, attention-seeking manner?

It must be quite distressing for her. I just hope she tells us the whole tale during the Sussexes’ forthcoming Netflix series. Or maybe her husband will share it all in his upcoming book.
