Drake addresses Kendrick Lamar’s claims of having a ‘secret daughter’: Report
Recently, Drake has publicly denied allegations made by Kendrick Lamar regarding the existence of a secret daughter. This dispute between two prominent figures in the music industry has captured the attention of fans and media alike.
According to the information provided to OK! Magazine to an insider close to Drake, the claims regarding the secret daughter are completely unfounded and are described as a total fabrication. Kendrick lately alleged in his new diss track Meet the Grahams, rapping, “Dear baby girl / I’m sorry that your father not active inside your world / He don’t commit to much but his music, yeah, that’s for sure / He a narcissist, misogynist, livin’ inside his songs / Try to destroy families rather than takin’ care of his own.”
Kendrick wrote, “You lied about your son, you lied about your daughter, huh / You lied about them other kids that’s out there hopin’ that you come.” The existence of Drake’s son, Adonis, was only revealed after Pusha T infamously rapped “You are hiding a child, let that boy come home” on his 2018 diss track The Story of Adidon.”
While responding to Kendrick’s diss track, Drake denied rumors of a secret child by posting a picture of himself on his Instagram story and penned, “Nahhhh hold on can someone find my hidden daughter pls and send her to me…these guys are in shambles.” It isn’t the first time Drake made headlines for having a “secret” child. Earlier, Pusha T accused him of “hiding” his firstborn in 2018.
The backdrop of this ongoing feud can be traced back to 2018 when another rapper, Pusha T, accused Drake of concealing the existence of his son Adonis, whom he had with Sophie Brussaux. Pusha T revealed this accusation in a track titled “The Story of Adidon.” This revelation stirred considerable controversy at the time, questioning Drake’s personal life and his transparency with his fans.
However, it wasn’t until March 2020 that Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, decided to introduce his son Adonis to the public by sharing his first pictures on social media platforms. In response to the myriad of accusations and personal attacks he has faced, Drake has not stayed silent. He hit back with a potent diss track called “Family Matters,” where he leveled serious accusations against Kendrick Lamar.
In this track, Drake alleged that Kendrick had been physically abusive towards his longtime fiancée, Whitney Alford, and accused him of infidelity. This counterattack marks a significant escalation in their public spat, illustrating the personal and bitter nature of the conflict between the two artists.
Adding to the complexity of their feud, Kendrick has also targeted Drake’s parenting skills and made disrespectful remarks about Drake’s late mother. These deeply personal jabs have intensified the hostility and drawn significant public and media scrutiny. Each artist uses their musical platform to express their side of the story, leading to a series of tracks that are loaded with accusations and counterclaims.
This feud underscores not only the personal vendettas between Drake and Kendrick Lamar but also highlights the often intense and public nature of disputes in the entertainment industry. As fans and observers dissect each artist’s lyrics and public statements, the feud provides a window into the pressures and challenges faced by celebrities in maintaining their public image while dealing with personal conflicts. This ongoing battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar remains a topic of much discussion and speculation, as each new song and statement continues to fuel the narrative of their deepening rift.
