In the much-anticipated trailer for “Atlas,” Jennifer Lopez’s character displayed unwavering determination to take down the AI antagonist, Harlan, portrayed by Simu Liu. However, when her initial plans were thwarted, she sought assistance from Smith’s character, leading to a compelling alliance against the formidable foe. The star-studded cast includes not only Jennifer Lopez but also Sterling K. Brown, Abraham Papoola, Gregory James Cohan, Mark Strong, and Lana Parrilla, each showcasing their acting prowess in this thrilling sci-fi adventure.

In the first-ever sneak peek of the upcoming Netflix movie, the actress, also known by her nickname J.Lo, was forced to trust Smith, an AI in her arc suit, in order to take down villain Harlan, who was “originally engineered to advance humanity… instead nearly ended it.” The glimpse inside the chaos featured Lopez as Atlas Shepherd. When the crisis hit, she embarked on a mission to find and end Harlan while abandoning Smith at one point, “I don’t need your help. I don’t trust AI.”

Directed by Brad Peyton and scripted by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleiti, “Atlas” promises an immersive cinematic experience. Scheduled for release on May 24, the film blends action-packed sequences with a gripping narrative, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats throughout, told Entertainment Weekly.
