Johnny Depp issued a public warning on Monday, alerting his fans about online scammers intensifying their efforts to impersonate him and target his supporters. The actor revealed that these scammers create multiple fake social media accounts pretending to be him or his team members.

In a statement shared on his official social media platforms, Depp clarified which accounts he actively uses and warned fans against falling prey to fraudulent schemes. He confirmed his presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok but denied having any account on X (formerly Twitter), the platform owned by Elon Musk.

Depp’s absence from X may be linked to Musk’s perceived siding with Amber Heard, Depp’s ex-wife, during their highly publicized legal battles. Musk, who was accused by Depp of having an affair with Heard during their marriage, has maintained his stance in support of Heard. Heard, however, denied the allegations of infidelity.

In court proceedings during Depp’s 2020 defamation case against The Sun, Heard testified that Musk offered her “24/7 security” after she expressed concerns about Depp and mentioned seeking a restraining order. Text messages between Heard and Musk from May 2016, revealed during the trial, further substantiated their connection.

While Heard denied Musk visited her in 2015 while Depp was away, she admitted they began corresponding in 2016, after her split from Depp. Musk, reflecting on their relationship in his biography, described the romance with Heard as “brutal.” Although they initially met in 2013 after Musk saw her in Machete Kills, their relationship reportedly did not begin until four years later, following Heard’s divorce from Depp.

Heard has since moved on with her life and welcomed a daughter, Oonagh Paige, via surrogacy in April 2021. While she has not publicly disclosed the father’s identity, rumors suggest Musk could be the sperm donor due to their past relationship. Reports indicate that Musk and Heard may have created frozen embryos during their time together.

Depp’s warning comes as a reminder for fans to remain cautious of online scams. By sharing his official accounts and addressing the issue directly, the actor aims to protect his supporters from falling victim to impersonation and fraud. Meanwhile, the intertwined histories of Depp, Heard, and Musk continue to generate public intrigue.
