Justin Bieber is reportedly grappling with trust issues following the arrest of his longtime friend P. Diddy, who is facing charges related to a sex trafficking and racketeering investigation. The shocking news has left Bieber questioning the people around him, particularly those from his past.
A source close to the Boyfriend singer told Page Six, “Do I believe he was involved in some stupid s–t? Yeah. He was a teenager. He was the biggest pop star in the world. Everyone was worried about him, and we didn’t know if he would survive it. People took advantage of everything he did.”
As Bieber reflects on those turbulent years, the insider explained that he’s become more isolated. “Justin’s done some really crazy s–t and he’s alienated the people around him. He doesn’t trust them,” the source added, highlighting how Bieber’s past experiences have strained his relationships.
The investigation into Diddy has also resurfaced old videos of him and a teenage Justin, raising further questions. In one unsettling clip, a 15-year-old Bieber is seen with Diddy, who says, “He’s having 48 hours with Diddy, where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream … for the next 48 hours he’s with me and we’re gonna go full crazy.”
Another resurfaced clip from their joint appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2011 shows Diddy remarking, “He knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with big brother Puff on national television. Everything ain’t for everybody.”
The resurfacing of these videos has raised concerns among Bieber’s family and inner circle. According to the source, “Family members are concerned about Justin. It’s unclear whether Diddy would have taken advantage of Justin at the time, as his family was nearby, and his manager Scooter Braun really did care about him. But, saying that, Justin did go through a really bad period, a very rebellious phase.”
Bieber, who skyrocketed to fame in 2010 after his hit single Baby, endured a notoriously difficult time as a young star. Now, in light of recent events, he is reportedly reexamining his relationships and trying to make sense of those who were in his life during his rise to fame.
