However, fans quickly diverted their attention from her outfit to her noticeably darker skin tone. Many users voiced their concerns, with one mentioning it looked “10 times darker” than her usual shade. Another commented, “She seems to desire to emulate black features,” while another wondered, “Why is her skin tone so much darker?”
The term “blackfishing” is being used by some to describe the situation. It refers to white individuals, especially public figures, who use makeup, tanning, or other methods to appear black or mixed-race. Interestingly, while Khloé’s sister Kim Kardashian and friends Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro sported similar outfits, Khloé has been the primary focus of the criticism.
