Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner Reportedly Concerned Over Kanye West’s Reality TV Plans
Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are reportedly less than thrilled about Kanye West’s latest venture: creating his own reality TV show. According to a source who spoke to In Touch Weekly, the rapper, who has previously appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is now eager to showcase his life with his wife Bianca Censori in a new series, a move that insiders suggest could be a “worst-case scenario” for Kardashian and Jenner.
The source revealed, “Kanye has been talking about this for a while now; he’s convinced that people would be totally drawn to them and it would be an instant hit.” West’s new show could potentially include appearances by his children, which is said to be a major concern for Kardashian. “Kanye could get the kids involved, which, of course, would be Kim’s worst nightmare.
But there’s not much she can do about it,” the source explained, adding that since Kardashian’s kids already appear on her show, she might have little ground to object. The source noted that the rapper has been preparing for this project for some time, reportedly collecting “thousands and thousands of hours of footage.”
This extensive collection includes clips from his life with Kardashian and, allegedly, footage that portrays her family in an unflattering light. Originally, West had planned to make a documentary film about his life but recently pivoted to the idea of a reality series, seeing the potential for more long-term storytelling. “Kanye has footage of everything imaginable, even getting his grills put in – and he’s willing to put it all out there,” shared the insider.
West is reportedly already pitching the show to networks, with interest and substantial offers on the table. The source continued, “It’s really a worst-case scenario situation for Kris and Kim. He’s coming back to haunt them in their own stomping grounds and inevitably he’s going to pull them into the show, even if it’s just him talking about them.”
Despite their concerns, the source pointed out that Kardashian and Jenner frequently mention West on The Kardashians, arguing, “But they do the same on their show, so why can’t he do the same?” West’s potential reality show would bring an unprecedented look into his life and could create new drama in an already complex family dynamic.
For Kardashian and Jenner, West’s new project represents a direct challenge in the world of reality television, a domain they’ve long dominated. While the family’s brand has thrived on revealing personal lives and navigating controversy, West’s foray into the same arena might test those boundaries.
