“People Have Been Talking About My Looks Since I Was 13” Says Kylie Jenner in Candid Confession
Kylie Jenner opened up about the criticism she’s faced over her looks since her early teens in a candid conversation with her older sister, Kendall Jenner, during the preview of the latest episode of The Kardashians on June 13.
“People have been talking about my looks since I was 13. It just gets exhausting,” said the 26-year-old reality star, visibly emotional.
Kendall, too, started crying alongside her younger sister, showing her support and empathy.
In a confessional, Kylie shared, “I hear nasty things about myself all the time.” She admitted, “I’ve never cried about this before, but I guess it does affect me.”
During the show, Kylie also addressed some of the “public chatter” that has often surrounded her. She stated that she didn’t let criticisms affect her confidence, saying, “I always remember being the most confident kid in the room”, as per report People.
Kylie emphasized, “I always loved myself — I still love myself — and one of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I was this insecure child.” She clarified, “I got so much surgery to change my whole face, which is false. I’ve only gotten fillers.”
Kylie also opened up about a few insecurities she did have at the time, explaining how public scrutiny amplified them. “I have never thought about my ears until my family’s jokes about them and being in the public eye,” she explained.
Her perspective changed significantly after she had her daughter, Stormi. Kylie shared, “Once I had my daughter and realized she had the same ears as me, my whole perspective changed.”
The emotional conversation between the sisters highlights the pressures and criticisms young women face, especially those in the public eye. Kylie’s candidness about her experiences and insecurities offers a glimpse into the often harsh reality of growing up under constant scrutiny.
