Disney brings out its most powerful weapons in the Secret Invasion trailer
At today’s D23 expo, Disney is releasing a multitude of trailers for upcoming projects. Let’s start with the major ones, starting with Secret Invasion, a new Marvel series that sees Samuel L. Jackson reprise his role as Nick Fury:
Don Cheadle as James Rhodes and Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross are two additional returning Marvel veterans. Oscar winner Olivia Coleman and Emilia Clarke, a veteran of Game of Thrones, are newcomers. With this, Marvel is going for the kill.
Simply by looking at the photography, this appears markedly more cinematic than more recent content like She-Hulk.
Disney+ will release Secret Invasion sometime in 2023. And while we’re on the subject of Marvel, a teaser for the smaller film Werewolf by Night was also released.
Take a look:
This much quirkier project comes out on October 7.
Watch the first teaser trailer for The Mandalorian season 3
Moving on to that galaxy far, far away, we got a quick preview of The Mandalorian’s third season, which follows Din Djarin and Baba Yoda’s ongoing adventures:
This one is a little strange because The Mandalorian season 3 will not only continue the story from season 2 but also address some significant plot points from The Book of Boba Fett.
All of this is a part of Disney’s plan to entice you to watch as much of its content as you can. When the new season premieres in 2023, we’ll find out if people were willing to do that.
Watch the teaser trailer for Percy Jackson & the Olympians
One of the most eagerly awaited shows teased at D23 is the studio’s Percy Jackson & The Olympians book series adaptation, which poses the question, “What if Harry Potter had some Greek mythology stuff mixed in?” Watch the teaser trailer below:
All we know about this one is that it’s streaming soon.
Finally, check out the trailer for Willow, a TV follow-up to the 1988 fantasy movie:
