Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian Attend The Mark Twain Prize Together: “Happy He’S Here To Support”
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson‘s relationship has gone well beyond secret dates, as the two were spotted together at the 23rd annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
The Kardashians star sat next to her comedian boyfriend as a political pundit and former host of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart, and received the Mark Twain Award for Lifetime Achievement in Humor.
It follows the couple’s red carpet debut at the launch of The Kardashians, the renowned family’s new reality television show, earlier this month.
Kardashian, 41, told E! News on the red carpet that she was “happy he’s here to support” despite her hesitation to share specifics about her relationship with the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live (SNL) star.
Davidson, on the other hand, opted out of any formal red carpet photos and does not feature in the current series after being advised against it.
The duo sat close together at The Kennedy Center on Sunday night for the Mark Twain Prize event, with Kardashian wearing a black sequin gown.
The John F Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts has given the prize every year since 1998, apart from 2020 and 2021 owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
It is named after the pen name of the 19th-century author and humourist and presented to people who have “had an impact on American society in ways similar to” Twain. His real name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens, per Independent.
Kardashian and Davidson started dating when she appeared on Saturday Night Live in October 2021, where they shared a kiss in a spoof.
After filing for divorce from her ex-husband Kanye West in February 2021, the SKIMS businesswoman told Hoda Kotb’s Making Space podcast last week that she “wasn’t planning” on dating.
She said: “[Dating] was the last thing that I was really planning on. And so when it did happen, we were kind of like, ‘Oh my god, I wasn’t planning on this. And this isn’t even what I was thinking of’.
“It just makes it that much sweeter and so much more fun.”
