Tankoa Introduces Apache Superyacht with Floating Pool
The Apache is a 76-meter concept superyacht inspired by modern architecture, complete with a beach club with folding side panels and a glass-bottom swimming pool.
The Apache was recently unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show and was designed by Alberto Mancini, who dreamed of a 76-meter steel and aluminum boat with “beautiful, stylish exterior, stylish interior, and never-before-seen luxury features”.
The outstanding feature of the Apache is the double-walled, glass-bottom swimming pool suspended in the bow, which is to be built by the Italian shipyard Tankoa for a customer willing to pay.

Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa, said, “Apache strengthens Tankoa’s ability to build yachts of this size. It’s transforming existing projects into something innovative and contemporary in collaboration with a top designer like Alberto Mancini.”
There will also be a beach club with folding side terraces with a total of 125 square meters of “luxury resort space” and a floodable swimming pool, which is accessible via a large central staircase from the main deck.
It connects to the garage and provides more deck space when the tenders and toys are unloaded. In order not to spoil the external aesthetics, the folding platforms are also equipped with unidirectional glass in the vehicle color.
Says Mancini: “I wanted to avoid the typical cave-dark effect that we see in many beach clubs today. In fact, the Apache Beach Club design isn’t just an area to enjoy the day at anchor and swim; It can be used day and night as an extension of the outdoor living area as it is fully integrated into the main deck saloon“.

Meanwhile, on the upper deck, there is a forward master cabin with direct access to the 9.5 meters long “flying pool”.
“The pool has a glass floor so not only does it feel like it’s floating in space, but the speckled light can penetrate into the semi-open saloon and fitness room on the deck below a superyacht,” says Tankoa.
Modern architecture
Inspired by modern architecture, the clear contours of Apache are based on clear horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. These models resemble the feather or plumage of an arrow and offer a dynamic look with minimized visors for undisturbed sea views and close contact with the sea.
“The tiered decks should have multiple spaces for relaxation and social activities, but the balance between indoor and outdoor areas should be instinctive, bright, and comfortable,” says Mancini.
social center
The lounge and dining room on the main deck extend over a bright area of 118 m2. This yacht is a sociable focal point with direct access to the wide-open terrace or the beach area.
On the main deck, there are four guest cabins with much larger windows than conventional cabins on the lower deck, a semi-open saloon and a fitness room on the foredeck, and a luxurious VIP suite in the bow.

quiet luxury
The interior design combines Loro Piana soft fabrics and a “subtly refined mixture” of silk upholstery, warm oak parquet, and nubuck suede, which creates “a luxurious, but inviting and discreet ambiance“.
Dark blue ash wood panels and a walk-in glass corridor that runs through the owner’s suite create a nice balance between warm and cool materials.
Room with View
The bridge deck has a spacious wheelhouse with a separate radio room and a very comfortable captain’s cabin as well as an additional lounge for more intimate socializing or a cozy corner to escape with a good book.
There is a second pool on the open back deck. On the upper deck, there is even a cozy viewing lounge or a birdhouse with a panoramic view over the water, ideal for enjoying the last rays of sunshine.
Problem-free service
In addition to the Beach Club, the lower deck is divided into crew and service areas, with a professional galley and a crew dining room, laundry, cold and dry storage, and hull openings for fast and efficient replenishment and maintenance of the boat. Adjacent to the lobby and elevator there is also a private cinema room reserved for guests.
The Apache is said to have a displacement of 1,350 tons and a gross tonnage of 1,515 GT. There are two propulsion options: two CAT C3512E (2 x 1901 kW at 1800 rpm) or two MTU V4000M73 (2 x 1920 kW at 1970 rpm) engines for a top speed of 16.5 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots, and a range of 5,000 sm.
