Play It Again, Joe: Biden Denies Sitting In on Hunter’s Business Dealings Via Speaker Phone
US President Joe Biden has refuted claims that he was indirectly involved in his son Hunter Biden’s business activities with the Ukrainian energy firm, Burisma, through speakerphone. Responding to an inquiry on Wednesday, Biden stated, “I never talked business with anybody.”
He criticized the question raised by Fox News‘ Peter Doocy as “lousy,” emphasizing his belief that the assertion was baseless.
Recently, Hunter Biden’s business associate, Devon Archer, informed the US House Oversight Committee that while Joe Biden, as Vice President, was occasionally on speakerphone during meetings with Burisma officials, there was no business discussion involving him.
Archer mentioned instances where Hunter Biden connected with his father on speakerphone, including meetings in Paris and Beijing.
On the same day, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer disclosed additional financial documents suggesting the Biden family received substantial amounts from foreign businessmen in countries like Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan in 2014, during Joe Biden’s vice presidency.
Two previous packages of financial documents were released in March and May. Both highlighted Biden’s family use of the Robinson Walker, LLC account to receive money from a certain Chinese entity and dealings in Romania, as well as the family’s partnership with Chinese entities closely tied to the Chinese Communist Party.
