“Kamala Harris Controls Hurricanes”: Alex Jones Claims Government Uses “Weather Weapons”
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones recently made headlines by accusing Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden administration of having the ability to manipulate hurricanes using “weather weapons.” In a broadcast on Tuesday, Jones promised his audience that he had the evidence to back up his claims.
“I’m going to be covering today, and I’ve sent the crew over 20 clips, and I’ve got over a hundred documents right here,” Jones announced. “I’m gonna do a big presentation for everybody on what’s really going on with weather weapons.” He insisted that these materials, which included interviews and government documents, would prove that the government has the technology to control the weather.
Jones pointed to Hurricane Milton as a case in point. “Then we have the bold headlines that I put up on X that the Kamala Harris, you know, the Biden-Harris administration is in control of this hurricane,” he claimed. Jones went further, asserting that the government could manage weather events with “five or six big aircraft” and even more advanced technologies like lasers and Doppler radar systems. According to him, these tools are deployed from ships and large oil platforms to steer hurricanes or redirect rain into the ocean.
Jones also claimed that such technology had been used in the past, specifically citing the events of September 11, 2001. “And on 9/11, the hurricane was gonna hit,” he asserted. “Remember in 2001, but that meteorologists never saw anything like it. It just turned away from the coast went away because that was gonna get in the way of some of the stuff the deep state was up to.” This statement is consistent with Jones’s history of promoting conspiracy theories linking weather events to government actions.
Despite his assertions, scientists have consistently stated that it is currently impossible to control weather events like hurricanes. The technology Jones refers to does not exist in the capacity he describes, and no credible evidence supports the idea of weather manipulation on the scale he suggests. Meteorologists have explained that hurricanes, such as Hurricane Milton, follow natural patterns influenced by atmospheric conditions, and there is no scientific basis for the claim that the government can redirect or control such powerful natural phenomena.
Jones’s broadcast is part of his long history of promoting conspiracy theories. Despite the lack of evidence, his claims continue to attract attention, contributing to ongoing misinformation and skepticism around weather events and government involvement.
