Pro-Trump Influencers Accuse Kamala Harris of Incitement Over Controversial Video Share
Two prominent Trump-supporting influencers, Tim Pool and Laura Loomer, made alarming accusations over the weekend, claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris is “personally trying” to have them “murdered.” Their outrage stemmed from Harris’ presidential campaign sharing a video of them expressing controversial ideas, a video that has since been removed from YouTube.
Tim Pool, a MAGA podcaster who has interviewed Donald Trump, and Laura Loomer, a far-right activist whom Trump has praised at his rallies, reacted strongly after Harris’ campaign highlighted their video. The campaign’s post stated, “Trump operatives say their Project 2025 plan is to give Trump total, unchecked legal power so they can jail and execute those who don’t support Trump if he wins (They have since scrubbed this video from YouTube).”
In the video, Pool provocatively suggests, “Should there be lists of Democrats that need to go to jail? 100%.” He goes on to express a desire for those Democrats to spend “years” fighting against the government “for crimes they committed and we can prove.” Loomer escalates the rhetoric, adding, “Not just jail. They should get the death penalty.”
The Harris campaign’s decision to share the video led to an immediate backlash from Pool and Loomer. Pool took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse Harris of incitement, writing, “Kamala Harris is personally trying to get me and [Loomer] murdered with an egregious lie.” He continued, “I will not stand for this outright fabrication. I have engaged legal counsel. We are preparing to take action. More to come.”
Loomer echoed Pool’s sentiments, also accusing Harris of trying to incite violence against them. “It’s incitement of violence. We never said that. And the episode is not ‘scrubbed’. It’s on,” she insisted. Loomer further criticized Harris, saying, “I love living in a country where the sitting Vice President [Harris] uses their X account to incite violence against me simply for defending Donald Trump with the Constitution. Seriously, Kamala Harris is so inappropriate… She is targeting private citizens.”
The accusations by Pool and Loomer highlight the intense and often volatile political climate as the 2024 presidential election approaches. Their claims, along with the heated rhetoric on both sides, underscore the deep divisions and the potential for further escalation as the campaign season intensifies.
