“He’s Going to Do Great” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Backs Trump Ahead of Debate with Biden

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has expressed strong confidence in former President Donald Trump’s capabilities in the upcoming debate against President Joe Biden. In a statement made through a post on the social media platform X on Tuesday, Greene criticized the choice of CNN moderators for the debate and predicted a strong performance from Trump.
“This Thursday night debate’s CNN moderators hate Pres Trump,” Greene asserted in her post. She went on to accuse Dana Bash’s husband of being one of the “51 spies” who allegedly misrepresented the origins of Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020, claiming it was Russian disinformation. She also criticized Jake Tapper’s attitude towards Trump, stating, “Jake Tapper hates Trump so much and has called him Hitler.”
Despite her concerns about potential bias from the moderators, Greene remained optimistic about Trump’s performance. “But I have faith in President Trump,” she insisted. “He’s going to do great!”
The backdrop to Greene’s comments includes a recent incident on CNN, where host Kasie Hunt ended an interview prematurely with Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt after she continued to attack Bash and Tapper. This interruption has further fueled discussions about the media’s role and the perceived biases in the coverage of political figures.
As the debate approaches, all eyes will be on how Trump navigates the challenges posed by the moderators and his political opponent. Greene’s vocal support highlights the polarized views surrounding the debate and sets the stage for what many expect to be a highly contentious event.
