Scandalous Allegations: Nikki Haley Accused of Affairs with Two Men Before Becoming South Carolina Governor
Nikki Haley, former South Carolina governor and once a hopeful in the 2024 presidential race, is facing renewed allegations of infidelity, according to multiple sources. The claims, which first surfaced in 2010, have been revived in the wake of her rising political profile. Allegations suggest Haley engaged in two extramarital affairs prior to assuming the gubernatorial office, a charge she has consistently denied.
According to affidavits and witness testimonies obtained by the Daily Mail, Haley allegedly cheated on her husband, Michael Haley, in 2008. Two men, Will Folks, 49, and Larry Marchant, 61, signed affidavits in 2010, claiming they had sexual relationships with Haley. Despite these claims, Haley has steadfastly denied the allegations, asserting she was “100% faithful” to her husband of 28 years.
The allegations come at a sensitive time for Haley as her presidential campaign picks up momentum, especially with other Republican candidates like Vivek Ramaswamy and Ron DeSantis dropping out of the race. Haley is positioning herself as a leading alternative to GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
One of the key accusations comes from Marchant, who claimed he had a one-night stand with Haley during a 2008 trip to Salt Lake City for a school choice conference. At the time, Marchant was working for her political rival, Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer. Haley dismissed these claims during her gubernatorial run, calling them a desperate attempt by her opponent’s campaign.
“This is a false and outrageous desperate attack from a losing candidate’s paid campaign consultant in the final week of the race,” Haley’s spokesman, Tim Pearson, told Politico in 2010. “As Nikki Haley rises in the polls, the good old boys in Columbia see their taxpayer-funded fraternity party crumbling, and they will say or do anything to hold on to their power.”
Around the same time, Folks, a former political consultant, also claimed he had an “inappropriate physical relationship” with Haley. He made these allegations just ten days before Marchant came forward, further fueling speculation about Haley’s personal life.
Several GOP insiders have reportedly supported the allegations, describing what they say were Haley’s questionable behaviors, including public displays of affection and encounters in her SUV. Some sources claimed to have witnessed her “sitting on laps” and “canoodling in bars.”
Despite these renewed accusations, Haley and her husband have remained married since 1996. In her 2012 memoir Can’t Is Not an Option: My American Story, Haley expressed her deep connection to her husband, stating, “I would be lost without him.”
