“Merry Christmas to all!”—Trump Shares Photo with Melania Amid Speculation on Her Absence
President-elect Donald Trump shared a throwback photograph of himself and his wife, Melania Trump, as part of his Christmas message on social media, sparking curiosity and speculation about her whereabouts.
The six-year-old picture was posted on his Truth Social platform on December 25, 2024, leading some netizens to wonder where Melania Trump was, especially after a viral video from a Mar-a-Lago Christmas party earlier in the year showed Trump without his wife.
Trump’s 2024 Christmas wish was notably simple and peaceful compared to previous years. The former president posted a straightforward message: “MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!” signaling a departure from the more combative tone he took in 2023, reported the New York Post.
In contrast, his Christmas message from 2023 was filled with hostility toward his political adversaries, particularly targeting the federal government and special counsel Jack Smith. “Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s only hope, Deranged Jack Smith, the out of control Lunatic who just hired outside attorneys, fresh from the swamp (unprecedented!), to help him with his poorly executed witch hunt against ‘TRUMP’ and ‘MAGA,’” Trump wrote in 2023, making his frustrations with the ongoing investigations clear.
This year’s message, devoid of such inflammatory rhetoric, caught the attention of his followers, who were quick to remark on the more subdued tone. However, the photograph of Trump with Melania, which had been taken years ago, led many to ask about her absence, with some speculating about the couple’s current status.
The video from the Mar-a-Lago Christmas party earlier this year, where Trump was seen alone without Melania, added fuel to the speculation.
While the Trumps’ public appearances have become less frequent, the Christmas post and the accompanying photograph seemed to spark further intrigue about their personal lives as well as the president-elect’s more restrained holiday message.
