Donald Trump, known for going off-script during his speeches, made an unexpected revelation at the Detroit Economic Club, inadvertently sharing a family secret—his youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, is expecting her first child. The former president, speaking to a crowd alongside Tiffany’s father-in-law, Massad Boulos, let slip the news about his daughter’s pregnancy, causing a stir among his supporters.
While praising his son-in-law, Michael Boulos, Trump deviated from his prepared remarks, saying, “He happens to be the father of Tiffany’s husband, Michael, who’s a very exceptional young guy. And she’s an exceptional young woman. And she’s going to have a baby. So that’s nice.” The crowd responded with cheers as Trump proudly shared the news.
Tiffany, 30, married Michael Boulos in November 2022, following a four-year relationship that began when they met during a European trip while Boulos was studying at City University in London. Tiffany Trump is the only child of Donald Trump and Marla Maples, and her husband, Michael, comes from a prominent business family.
His father, Massad Boulos, runs Nigeria-based Boulos Enterprises, a family business that has made them notable figures in global commerce. Despite her generally low political profile, Tiffany has remained close to her family, and her pregnancy news quickly spread across media outlets after Trump’s unintentional announcement, according to the Independent.
The due date for Tiffany’s baby remains unknown, but this will be her first child, adding to Donald Trump’s growing number of grandchildren. The former president currently has ten grandchildren: five from his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., two from his son Eric Trump, and three from his daughter Ivanka Trump, who shares her children with husband Jared Kushner.
Among Trump’s grandchildren, his eldest, Kai, has garnered the most attention, especially following her speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention. During her address, Kai gave a personal insight into her grandfather, saying, “To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents are not looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school, according to the NY Post.
