Trump Claims He’s “Leading in Almost All of the Real Polls” Amid Internal Tensions
On Sunday, former President Donald Trump insisted that he is “doing really well in the presidential race” and claimed to be “leading in almost all of the real polls,” despite facing criticism both from within his own camp and from the broader public. Trump’s comments came as he pushed back against reports that his 2024 campaign is struggling, while also lashing out at what he described as “low self-esteem leakers” within his team.
Earlier in the day, Trump faced backlash from his supporters after asserting that Vice President Kamala Harris was using artificial intelligence to fake large crowds at her rallies. Despite this, Trump took to social media to defend his campaign’s position and to criticize those suggesting otherwise.
“I’m doing really well in the Presidential Race, leading in almost all of the REAL Polls,” Trump stated over the weekend. He also took aim at the Democratic Party, claiming they had made an unprecedented move by switching their primary candidate midstream, replacing President Joe Biden with Harris. Trump pointed out that Harris “failed to get even a single Primary Vote” and was the first of the Democratic candidates to drop out of the race in 2020.
Reflecting on his previous campaigns, Trump boasted, “I did great in 2016, and WON, did much better in 2020, getting many millions more votes than ‘16, but this, 2024, is thus far my best Campaign, the most enthusiasm and spirit, etc.”
However, Trump also addressed challenges within his own team, expressing frustration with internal leaks and media scrutiny. “My team is doing a great job despite the constant 8-year obstacle of dealing with the Fake News and low self-esteem leakers,” he said. Trump then issued a rallying cry to his supporters: “We are going to WIN BIG and take our Country back from the Radical Left Losers, Fascists, and Communists. We will, very quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
In response to Trump’s tirade, former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski commented on the former president’s social media activity, stating, “He is completely melting down tonight.” Filipkowski added, “Truth Social right now looks like the scribblings on the walls of a cell at an insane asylum,” and suggested that the reference to “low self-esteem leakers” hinted that someone on Trump’s team was likely to be fired soon. As the 2024 race heats up, Trump’s claims and the turmoil within his campaign continue to draw attention, with both supporters and critics watching closely as events unfold.
