Trump Denounces Fox News Polls as ‘Rigged and Worthless’ After Losing Ground in Key Battleground States
Former President Donald Trump reacted angrily on Thursday to a new series of Fox News polls that show him losing crucial battleground states. Posting on his Truth Social page, Trump dismissed the recent polls as “rigged and worthless” and shared an internal campaign memo criticizing Fox News for its 2020 polling, which underestimated his support in the same swing states.
The Fox News polls in question show Vice President Kamala Harris leading Trump by one point in Arizona and by two points in both Nevada and Georgia. Additionally, the polls indicate that Harris is just one point behind Trump in North Carolina, a state he won in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
While Trump’s campaign has pointed out that Fox’s 2020 polls underestimated his support in the final vote counts, it’s important to note that President Joe Biden ultimately won three of the four states surveyed in the new polls.
Trump has been increasingly critical of polling ever since Biden dropped out of the 2024 election, with Harris entering the race and erasing Trump’s earlier lead, effectively resetting the campaign. Despite Harris’s surge, the polls indicate that the race remains very close, with the outcomes within the margin of error.
As the campaign continues, Trump’s frustration with polling data underscores the high stakes of the upcoming election, particularly in these key battleground states where small shifts in voter sentiment could determine the outcome.
