Some of Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters are expressing frustration over two of his key nominees for his upcoming administration, signaling growing unease within his base as he announces his picks for top positions. On Friday, Trump revealed Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, a physician and Fox News medical contributor, as his choice for surgeon general.

However, the announcement was met with backlash from many Trump supporters who criticized her previous stances on COVID-19 policies. “Dear President Trump, many of us…MANY of us are very disheartened and upset about this pick,” a Truth Social user commented on Trump’s announcement. “This doctor has been a major advocate for pushing COVID-19 vaccines upon people which are being proven to cause much harm.

She also was a big advocate of masking and other terrible Covid policies. Please don’t let this happen! Sincerely -your base.” The backlash didn’t subside over the weekend. On Sunday, Trump attempted to promote his new book, Save America, but the comment section was flooded with criticism over his administration’s choices.

“President Trump, you need the current Surgeon General of Florida as the USA Surgeon General, not the globalist pro deep state lady you nominated,” wrote @thompmark78, a user known for exclusively pro-Trump content. Another user, with the bio “Patriot. America First,” was even more direct, asking, “Are you trying to kill us all with jabs? Tell her to get lost.”

Trump’s pick for attorney general, Pam Bondi, has also sparked outrage. User @Dbn281977 called Bondi an “anti-Second Amendment attorney general,” adding, “Trump, please do not put this communist in office.” Another user, @Omi17, echoed the sentiment, accusing Bondi of being a “RINO” with a “horrible history being anti-gun.”

The unrest extended to concerns about Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s absence from public discussions. One Truth Social user lamented, “What has happened to JD Vance? He’s nowhere to be seen or heard. It appears he is being pushed aside because of Musk.” The user added that while Musk is “fantastic,” Vance should remain a prominent figure given his role in Trump’s electoral victory.

These reactions highlight tension within Trump’s base as supporters question whether his administration’s picks align with their priorities. With loyalists voicing their discontent, Trump faces the challenge of uniting his supporters while moving forward with his agenda.
