Trump’s Viral Video with Melania and Baby Barron Sparks Controversy Amid Hush Money Trial
Amid the hush money trial in New York, a viral video of former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump holding baby Barron has been trending on X, formerly known as Twitter. The clip is from a rare commercial for Trump’s reality series, The Apprentice, dating back to 2006.
While MAGA supporters have been praising the couple’s chemistry, many netizens have a different take. Numerous users are calling the video a PR stunt by Trump’s campaign team, meant to distract from the ongoing focus on his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels.
One user, @MysteriousMrC82, questioned the timing, asking if this was during Trump’s alleged involvement with Stormy Daniels. Another user commented that the video must have been taken after Trump’s Nevada trip where he was with Karen McDougal, before returning home to his wife and son.
They suggested the video was purely for publicity. Another user, @savethemall72, noted that it’s probably rare because it’s the only time in 18 years the three of them were together. User @kristilloyd123 called the video “totally staged,” and @silvertuke remarked that everything about Trump seemed staged and fake.
User @catsoncampbell doubted the authenticity of the scene, suggesting Trump pretended to park the car in the video. As the video continued to circulate on social media, user @Im4bluewaves mocked the situation, labeling it a commercial for The Apprentice and nothing more than publicity.
User @Laureengibbslan warned that those posting the video and calling themselves patriots were being misled, highlighting Trump’s alleged infidelity during the period when Barron was just months old.
USA Today reported that Playboy model Karen McDougal confessed to having a relationship with Trump, and the timeline aligns with the video’s creation. McDougal later apologized to Melania Trump during a 2018 interview on CNN, expressing regret and acknowledging her awareness of Trump’s marital status during their affair. McDougal revealed that after they were intimate, Trump tried to pay her, which she found insulting.
She stated that their relationship lasted for ten months, ending in April 2007 due to her feelings of guilt. Additionally, Stormy Daniels also claimed to have had a consensual relationship with Trump in 2006, shortly after Melania gave birth to Barron. Trump, however, has consistently denied these claims.
