Prince Harry Distancing Himself from Meghan Markle in Bid to Repair Public Image, Claims Expert
Prince Harry is reportedly distancing himself from Meghan Markle in an effort to regain public favor and mend his relationship with the Royal Family. According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, the Duke of Sussex’s recent solo appearances—including trips to New York, London, and Southern Africa—are part of a strategic move to repair his damaged reputation.
Speaking to The Sun, Seward suggested that Harry’s solo ventures indicate a deliberate effort to distance himself from Meghan and rebuild his standing, both with the public and his royal relatives. She emphasized that while the Duke of Sussex still has a chance to earn forgiveness, Meghan may not be as fortunate.
“Deep down, people still love Prince Harry, and they want to love him,” Seward explained. “I think they’re just very, very disappointed in him.”
Seward went on to discuss the impact of Harry’s memoir, Spare, which, despite its financial success, has significantly harmed his public image. “He made millions out of Spare, but he seriously has paid for it because it’s done his reputation an immeasurable amount of harm, especially with his family and in the way people view him,” she added.
The royal expert also noted that Harry’s recent work with causes he has long been passionate about, such as his charity efforts in Southern Africa, offers a glimpse of “the old Harry.” She expressed hope that this will resonate with both Harry and the public, allowing him to reconnect with his past self.
“It’s really good to see a glimpse of the old Harry,” Seward said. “And, hopefully, it will resonate with him too.” As Prince Harry embarks on more solo engagements, many observers are watching closely to see if these moves will help restore his public standing and potentially heal the rift with his family. Whether this distancing from Meghan is part of a long-term strategy remains to be seen, but for now, it appears Harry is taking steps to reconnect with both the public and his royal roots.
