Kate Prioritizes Loyalty to William Over Reconciliation with Prince Harry, Says Royal Expert

Kate Middleton has reportedly made up her mind regarding her relationship with Prince Harry, especially as she and Prince William prepare for their future roles on the throne. Royal author Christopher Andersen recently shared his insights into the situation, emphasizing Kate’s loyalty to her husband and her current stance on the ongoing rift within the royal family.

In a conversation with Radar Online, Andersen highlighted Kate’s priorities, explaining that while she has love for Prince Harry, her first loyalty lies with William. “Above all else, Kate is loyal to her husband. She understands completely why William is still fuming,” he said, adding that Kate is not going to pressure William to reconcile while he has so much to manage.

Andersen also reflected on Harry’s strained relationship with the royal family, recalling the last time Harry visited Balmoral Castle in September 2022, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. His absence from the estate this summer further underscores the deepening divide between him and the rest of the family. “His absence from Balmoral this summer is just one more sign that the royal family—Kate included—prefer to have Harry out of sight and out of mind for the time being,” Andersen noted.

In the early stages of the family rift, Kate reportedly made efforts to bring the brothers back together. One of the most memorable moments was during Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021, when Kate stepped aside to allow Harry and William to walk and talk together after the service. Andersen described it as “one of the most poignant scenes in this whole saga.”

However, despite her efforts, the relationship between the brothers remained strained. “When that didn’t work, Kate continued to try and soften up her husband,” Andersen explained. But after the release of Harry’s memoir Spare—in which he openly criticized both William and their father, King Charles—Kate’s attempts at reconciliation became futile. “Kate understandably threw up her hands when Harry trashed William and Charles in his memoir two years later,” Andersen added.

As a result, both Harry and Meghan are no longer a focus for the Prince and Princess of Wales. Kate, according to Andersen, has shifted her attention to her health and family, leaving the drama with Harry and Meghan behind. “The bigger picture no longer includes Harry,” Andersen said, stressing that the royal family’s priorities are now centered on Kate’s well-being, the future of their family, and the monarchy.

While the tensions between Prince Harry and the royal family remain unresolved, it’s clear that for Kate and William, the focus has moved beyond the rift as they prepare for their roles in shaping the future of the crown.
