Insider Reveals How Meghan and Harry’s Sudden Decision to Leave the Royal Family Unfolded
Meghan Markle has been accused of influencing Prince Harry’s decision to leave the UK. Former royal photographer Arthur Edwards claims that the Duchess of Sussex quickly decided to exit the UK and took the Duke of Sussex with her.
In a discussion on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Live show, Arthur Edwards spoke to Matt Wilkinson about the shift he observed. “The first year with Meghan, she was fantastic. I traveled everywhere with them. She was a star, engaging with the public, doing everything you’d expect a lady married into the royal family to do,” he recalled.
However, Edwards noted a sudden change. “Then suddenly, everything changed,” he added, hinting at the abrupt shift in the couple’s approach.
Wilkinson commented on the couple’s departure, saying, “The problem was that Harry and Meghan were so impetuous. They made that decision straight away. They posted on Instagram, didn’t they, the very night they had decided it before they really discussed it with the Queen. They just put it out there and said they had made the decision to leave.”
Edwards agreed, asserting that Harry’s departure seemed inevitable. “There was no choice, he was going, wasn’t he? Meghan said, ‘We are going,’ and that was it.” He emphasized that Harry ultimately made the choice to leave. “And as we say, he made that decision and disappeared. That was his choice,” Edwards concluded.
The remarks suggest that while Meghan’s influence played a role, Harry’s departure was also a decision he willingly made, signaling a pivotal moment in their break from royal duties.
