Prince Harry Reportedly Seeks David Beckham’s Help for Royal Reconciliation, But Meghan Disapproves
Prince Harry is allegedly attempting to reconnect with David Beckham in hopes that the football icon can mediate between him and the royal family, particularly his estranged brother, Prince William. However, according to a new report by Closer Magazine, Meghan Markle finds Harry’s approach “ridiculous.”
The Beckham family’s close bond with Prince William was evident during their recent joint appearance at London’s Air Ambulance Charity event. Recognizing Beckham’s influence in both the UK and the US, Harry reportedly hopes that mending his relationship with David could pave the way for a reconciliation with his brother. The Duke of Sussex believes that Beckham, who is well-regarded alongside his wife, Victoria, could help soften tensions and foster a path towards healing.
An insider revealed, “Meghan feels it’s ridiculous to even care what the Beckhams think. She has her sights set on making friendships with much more powerful people, like Kamala Harris.” The source added, “As far as she’s concerned, it’s beneath them to be begging the Beckhams for approval. But Harry knows how much William values David’s friendship, and his hope is that getting David’s seal of approval could help soften things with his brother.”
The source further noted that Harry “insists he’s being strategic” and has let it be known that he’d like to rekindle his friendship with Beckham. He believes that leveraging Beckham’s rapport with William might be an effective way to bridge the gap between them.
Meghan’s disapproval suggests a divide in their approaches, with Harry aiming for reconciliation through old ties, while Meghan focuses on building new, influential connections. As Harry puts out feelers to reconnect with David, it remains to be seen if this tactic will bring the royal brothers any closer to mending their strained relationship.
