Meghan Markle living life in the US like she’s married to the prom king, says royal commentator
Meghan Markle has come under fire for living a life akin to a prom queen married to a prom king. These criticisms were voiced by Charlotte Griffiths during her appearance on the Palace Confidential podcast.
Griffiths commented, “I get the impression that life for Meghan Markle at the moment is a sort of prom event and [Harry] is the prom king and she’s the prom queen and she’s setting up all these events over the years that they can attend together.”
She added that at the Living Legends of Aviation event, Meghan did not accompany Harry due to a controversy that arose prior to the event. “Although at the Living Legends of Aviation one, she actually didn’t turn up with him because a similar controversy had happened before the event and then she didn’t go with him.”
Griffiths also speculated about Meghan’s future appearances, saying, “I’ll be very interested to see if this time next week she goes with him. Serena Williams, her great friend, is presenting the award so she may well attend.”
Griffiths concluded her comments with a critique of the couple’s public approach, saying, “Life isn’t a red carpet event for them to show off their brand, there are some very serious events out there and they are being tin-eared.”
These remarks highlight the ongoing scrutiny faced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they navigate their roles and public appearances. Critics argue that their lifestyle and public relations strategies are not in tune with the seriousness of certain events they are involved in, adding to the challenges the couple faces in their public image management.
