Meghan Markle Urges Prince Harry to Disconnect from Media Amid Royal Family Rift
Meghan Markle is making concerted efforts to protect Prince Harry from the relentless media headlines as his rift with the royal family deepens.
According to a source who spoke to Heat magazine, the Duchess of Sussex is deeply empathetic towards her husband, who is anxious for updates on the health battles of his father, King Charles, and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
“She also thinks a trip somewhere totally off-grid would be great,” the source revealed. “At the very least, she wants him to lay low at home with her and the kids. There’s no reason he can’t take some time out for a health break,” they added.
“Meghan’s proud of how Harry’s been handling the stress, but recently he’s been starting to unravel,” they said. The insider explained: “He’s less able to remove himself from the situation than she is, as he’s still clinging onto the hope of a family reconciliation that she feels isn’t going to happen.
“It’s much more painful for him because he’s not been getting any proper updates on Kate or his dad,” they continued. “It’s hard for her to see him climbing the walls the way he’s been doing. She wants them to take a break from all the toxicity.”
Now, the Suits alum has called for a “total media detox,” which would include “no surfing the net,” “no social media,” and “no news.” Meghan’s concern highlights her dedication to ensuring Harry’s well-being during this challenging period. By advocating for a retreat away from the public eye, she hopes to provide him with the necessary respite from the ongoing pressures and media scrutiny.
