Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton connect on phone call to patch things up
Following the release of Omid Scobie’s recent royal book, which stirred up tensions within the Royal Family, reports indicate that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton engaged in a phone conversation.
Allegedly, it was the Duchess of Cambridge who initiated the call, aiming to alleviate the strain caused by the revelations in Scobie’s book.
According to a source cited by The Mirror Kate Middleton reached out to Markle in an attempt to mend fences after the emergence of claims made in the book.
Meanwhile, Scobie reversed his stance, acknowledging that he had indeed named the alleged “royal racists” in an earlier version of his book.
The insider disclosed that Prince Charles intervened in the situation, advising Kate to take on the role of a mediator, especially since Prince William seemed hesitant to do so.
Emphasizing Kate’s dedication to her royal responsibilities, the source noted her compliance with Charles’s guidance.
The urgency of resolving the ongoing feud was underscored by the insider, who highlighted its detrimental effects on Charles’s reign and the overall stability of the monarchy.
The book in question reignited a long-standing controversy within the royal family, initially sparked over two years ago by statements made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In that interview, the couple’s revelations regarding discussions about the skin color of their son, Prince Archie, caused significant turmoil within the royal institution.
The controversy resurfaced once again late last year with the publication of Scobie’s book, titled “Endgame,” which delved into the dynamics of the royal family and brought King Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall into the spotlight amid the ongoing tensions.
